Print design measures type in points: there are 72 points in an inch and 12 points in a pica. Web design uses CSS pixels, defined as 1/96 of an inch, so 1 px equals 0.75 pt and 16 px equals 12 pt.
em and rem are relative units. This converter assumes the browser default of 16 px, so 1 rem = 16 px = 12 pt. If your design uses a different base size, multiply accordingly.
