Static QR codes that do not expire
The codes made here are static: your content is stored directly in the pattern. They do not rely on a redirect service, so they work for as long as the content itself is valid, with no scan limits and no tracking. The trade-off is that a static code cannot be edited after printing; to change the destination you create a new code.
Error correction
QR codes include spare data so they still scan when partly dirty or damaged. Higher levels survive more damage but make the pattern denser.
| Level | Recoverable damage | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Low | about 7% | Long content, clean screens |
| Medium | about 15% | General use (default) |
| High | about 25% | Printed labels and packaging |
| Highest | about 30% | Outdoor use, or a logo placed over the code |
Printing tips
- Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background scans most reliably.
- Leave the quiet zone (the empty margin) around the code.
- Print at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in) for close scanning, and larger for posters. Use SVG for sharp print at any size.
- Test the code with more than one phone before printing in volume.
